Premier League: Marcus Rashford told to leave Manchester United

Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford has been told to quit the club if he wants to reach his full potential.

A former Newcastle player, Micky Quinn said this while advising the young forward to move to Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool where he could have value.

The England international started only 14 Premier League games this season, coming off the bench another 15 times for Jose Mourinho’s side.

Quinn claimed that Jose Mourinho is suppressing the player’s growth at Old Trafford.

With Romelu Lukaku, the clear first-choice striker, and other options such as Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial vying for places in Manchester United attack, Quinn advised Rashford to look elsewhere.

“I think he’s gotta go. He’s not a first choice for Jose Mourinho. He is not first choice.

“The kid is one of the most exciting players we’ve seen in a Manchester United shirt – I’ve got to say that.

“He scores goals – you saw the two he scored against Liverpool, two fantastic goals cutting in from the left.

“If he wants to be a regular, I don’t think it’s with Jose Mourinho.

“Lukaku is the first choice on the pitch. Everyone would take him, wouldn’t they?

“Arsenal he’s walk in there. [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang is ok but he can play as a three can’t he, like Liverpool.”

When asked if England international get into Chelsea’s team. Quinn added, “Definitely. Definitely.

“Liverpool? They wouldn’t sell him to Liverpool but I think he’d get into most Premier League teams.

“The kid wants to play. I think next season if he can see he’s going to be a sub for most of the season then he’s got to move.”
