Man City 2-3 Man Utd: Pogba's brace denied City a win

Paul Pogba scored a brace in Manchester United 3-2 win against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium to deny the Cityzens the early title celebration after City went to two goals ahead in the first half before the Old Trafford outfit fit back to win the tie and deny Pep Guardiola of the title at Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City attacked Manchester United in the opening minute in their normal approach, as Danilo fired a shot over the crossbar.

Manchester City launched an attacking move but Ashley Young fouled the ball in the box but the referee was not interested in the protest from the host.

Pep Guardiola's men continued to dominate the game as the had more ball possession

the visitors. in the 14th minute Vincent Kompany gave away a pass to Ander Herrera but the Manchester City was up to the task to clear the ball from the danger area.

Manchester United applied a defensive approach that makes the game looked one-sided a Jose Mourinho's men continued to sit back to defend.

Paul Pogba lost

in the midfield fell to David Silva but the Spanish forward was unable to capitalise on the loose ball in the 20th minute.

David de Gea was forced to make a save in the 21st minute after a quick one touch from Bernardo Silva.

Kompany broke the

dead lock in the 25th minute as he

power in a header from a corner kick to give Manchester City the lead at the Etihad Stadium.

Young delivered a cross in the box but the ball was too much for any player to connect.

Illkay Gundogan scored the second goal after Raheem Sterling passed to the German international who made a fine turning around Nemanja Matic before putting the ball past De Gea in the 30th minute of the clash.

Sterling almost got the third goal in the 32nd minute but his effort went over the cross-bar.

The host continued to dominate the game and with the quick pass of Manchester City Manchester, United found it difficult cope.

Herrera

was shown

the yellow the card after he fouled Fernandinho in the 37 minute and Romelu Lukaku was also shown a yellow for a foul on Kompany in the last minute of the first half. 

Manchester City approached the second half full of confidence as Gondogan strike was denied by the cross-bar in the 50th minute of the encounter.

Pogba scored for Manchester United after the Frenchman connected with Herrea pass to score in the first goal in the 53rd minute and in the 55th minute, Pogba scored another goal to bring parity to the game from a header from a cross.

Jesse Lingard almost got the third goal in the 59th but his effort went wide.

Chris Smalling scored the third goal for Manchester United in the 69th minute, Kevin de Bruyne came in for David Silva and Gabriel Jesus came in for Bernardo Silva in the 72nd minute.

Guardiola made his final substitue as Sergio Aguero came in for Illkay Gundogan at Etihad Stadium.

Mourinho Lingard was substituted for Mc Tominay in the 84th minute.
